When I wake up and scream it's not because I'm scared

I have these recurring dreams that line up with recurring realities,
parallel lines i trade back and forth.
The more I sleep the more they start to meld, I'm afraid
the two infinite lines have grown so close they have collided.
there's no way to right the ship.
I want to feel guilty,

I peer out the window, see a flash.
a meteor shower up close to the glass.

future and past in a chaotic dance.

In the end, we get to know there really is an end.
A swift decay... sublime relief.
